Cookies and similar technologies we use, why, and how to control them.
1. What's a cookie?
A cookie is a small text file stored on your device. We use cookies and equivalent technologies (localStorage, sessionStorage) to keep you signed in, remember preferences, and — only with your consent — measure how Claimance is used.
Under the ePrivacy rules and PECR, we only set non-essential cookies after you opt in. You can change your choice at any time using the "Cookie settings" link in the footer.
2. Categories of cookies we use

3. Third-party cookies
We do not embed third-party advertising or social-tracking scripts. Payment pages (Stripe / Paddle) and email tracking (Postmark) may set their own first-party cookies on their domains, governed by their respective policies.
4. Managing cookies
- Use "Cookie settings" at the bottom of any page to change or withdraw consent.
- Most browsers let you block or delete cookies in Settings > Privacy.
- Disabling essential cookies will break authentication and you'll be signed out.
